Scrap Happy

Hey all!! As promised, I am going to share some Studio J layouts that I added some traditional embellishments to. Sorry it took so long, I've been very busy with school letting out for my boys. Also, please forgive the lighting in the "after" shots, I was not having a good camera day!  LOL

Now the layouts I made in Studio J I purposely made simple so I could add my finishing touches to them. Also, with my traditional embellishments I didn't want to go to overboard so some of them are rather simple as well. But I feel like it shows that sometimes you really only need a little extra really make something shine  :)

So here's the first one...

Hi all! So the workshop went off beautifully!!  There was only one little hitch (an incorrect pre-measured piece of paper, easily rectified) and the rest was smooth scrapping!! Here's a picture of the ladies working on their layouts...

Today is my very first Workshop!! I'm so excited (and a little nervous!). I have several ladies coming whom I've never meet. I'm really looking forward to that because it is always nice to find new people to scrap with. I have to keep this short because I need to run to the store for some yummies for the day, but I will post pictures of the workshop and the projects we make  :)

    In other news, I'm still painting my new scrap space. I'm almost done and I'll post pictures soon of the new color :) It's going to be a busy week...I have to get at least half of my supplies moved into my new space.

Hi there! It's been a while but I've been a busy bee! I am rearranging and switching  3 rooms in my house and it has kept me moving! (Literally LOL) I'm taking over the downstairs rec-room and turning it into my new scrap space. Usually when I have friends over to scrap we put tables in the rec-room to have more space, so I thought to myself...why not make it into my scrap room and no more lugging around furniture when I have a scrap date? So I started the the monumental task of emptying the rec-room of all the kids toys,movies, books and furniture. This is what I am left with...

And now I'm off to paint!!! I'll post pictures of my work in progress :)

Well, I woke up this morning to the smell of something burning. Not the best way to start the day. After combing over the entire house to find the source of the smoke that was starting, I realized the source was the fridge. I don't know if a circuit went bad or the motor is burning out. All I know is for 5 minutes I was only thinking about what could I grab out of the house to save if it started to burn down, and how mad I would be if it did as it took us 3 1/2 years of living in Italy to find a house that is perfect for us!

So now the fridge is unplugged, the inside stinks to high Heaven of burnt something, and I was told somebody "might" be here by 4. Uggg! But this is how the cookie crumbles when your husband is deployed! Ask any military wife and they will tell you that every bulb will burn out, your tire will go flat, and even your fridge will burn out when your husband deploys!!


On a brighter note, here is another layout I finished this weekend.



I think tonight I might drown my refrigerator sorrows in some ribbon and glue dots! LOL
